I've been writing since childhood. It is my passion, my drive and my relaxation too. Over the years, I've written short stories, magazine articles, radio plays and advertising copy. However, it was only in 2007 that I finally wrote my 1st book, African Ways. It's about my life on a farm in South Africa. I followed this up with my memoirs about living on a barge in Rotterdam, the Netherlands: Watery Ways, which was published by Sunpenny Publishing in 2012 and a finalist in the 2015 Wishing Shelf Awards, and the sequel Harbour Ways. Then, my 1st fictional book, The Skipper's Child, was published by Sunpenny Publishing in (2011) and won silver in the 2013 Wishing Shelf Awards. My 4th book, How to Breed Sheep, Geese & English Eccentrics is published here on Lulu.com and is a humorous novel self sufficiency on an English smallholding. It also did well in the Wishing Shelf Awards. In 2015, I published Walloon Ways, a memoir about Belgium and in 2017, Faring to France on a Shoe, a travelogue.
