This book focuses on faculty attitudes toward online courses at selected Historical Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The population for this study included faculty from eight HBCUs throughout the southeastern United States. Data was gathered through the use of the eLearning Attitude Scale (eLAS). Approximately 80 educators from each institution were randomly selected, contacted by email and asked to participate in an online survey. Two hundred and seventy-five valid responses were received from the 640 initial contacts for a completion rate of approximately 43 percent. Sixteen surveys were unusable because of numerous incomplete responses.
