A dangerous new virus is spreading across the globe—Emergent Atoximia (EA). When unemployed widower Henry Poems learns his young son Buddy has been diagnosed, his world collapses. With no options left, Henry accepts a desperate offer from the Burkette Group: five years of his life in exchange for a guaranteed cure. The cost seems worth it—until something goes wrong. Henry is placed into the Deep Sleep Stasis Program, controlled by a powerful organic supercomputer known as MARI. But instead of healing, the system begins to break down, and Henry finds himself trapped in a shifting, impossible world filled with other lost minds. As Henry struggles to survive the fractured landscape, he begins uncovering unsettling connections between himself, MARI, and the people trapped alongside him—connections that suggest this is not a malfunction, but something far more deliberate.
