This is a story of one man's spiritual revolution. Born to a teenage mother in the 1960's, Carl learned the harsh reality of life early. As a teen he became homeless and unemployed, and was first shown acceptance in the unusual setting of a biker gang. As prison, violence, or death claimed those around him, he found himself homeless again. A meeting with Jesus lead him to study philosophy at university, become a leader in protest movements, and choose homelessness at God’s calling. This became a rewarding, and at times life-threatening, journey into a greater understanding of the human condition, and God's healing. Along the way Carl became the “Crusty Vicar,” planting organic churches among New Age Travellers, protestors, and others in the counter-culture. This book is for new Christians trying to understand the nature of God, mature Christians seeking to go deeper with God, pastors wanting to share God’s love with the world, and anyone interested in the counter-culture.
