Friendly Intentions

Meet Ebenezer Lawrence Friendly III, nickname Casper. In an effort at rebuilding their relationship, Casper heads to Sacramento to spend the weekend with his father only to discover his father’s lifeless body slumped in his office chair. Since his father was a professor at Sacramento State University, and was killed on campus, Casper learns the University Police have jurisdiction and will be in charge of the investigation. Holding the University Police somewhere just above Rent-a-Cop status, Casper decides to launch his own inquiry. Enlisting the help of his best friend, a gay ex-marine named Brian Owens, the pair stumble their way through encounters with Vietnamese gangs, police investigators, and into the middle of a sex scandal involving the Governor’s wife.
