The year is 2041 and mankind has begun to change. Individuals with great power now walk among us, feared and hated by some-revered by others. This novel chronicles the first adventures of a group of these 'supers' who choose to use their abilities to protect the innocent, and one particularly special superhuman among them. But are these individuals the product of genetic mutation as is the popular theory-or are they-as some suspect, an ancient power from biblical times reawakened in the modern age?
