Conversation With an Alien

A disparate group of friends organise a month long mining trip to North Dakota in 1968 to pan for gold. They pick up a stranger, who in the course of the month long trip reveals a great secret about humanity and its ancient past. He tells them that there was a time in human history where the survival of the human species was uncertain and that his kind took action to preserve one of the few potentially intelligent species they had ever discovered. Ordinary lives are thrown into extraordinary situations while others vie for the information. The story moves quickly with the main characters being pursued by criminals, government agencies and their own demons. The story is primarily about an ordinary family and their friends caught up in circumstances beyond their control, their loves, fears and relationships are thrown into turmoil.
