In July of 1873, the former Confederate Guerilla and his gang, Jesse James, rode into Iowa an robbed a Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad train near Adair Iowa. The story of this spectacular robbery swept the nation and touched off the biggest manhunt of its time. This is the story of that robbery on that fateful day.
