Birding in a Hart Beat

Habituellement imprimé en 3-5 jours ouvrés
Veteran birder and photographer Hart Rufe has shared his knowledge and advice with beginning and experienced birdwatchers for many years, most recently through a series of columns on the website of the St. Lucie Audubon Society (stlucieaudubon.org). A noted conservationist and retired judge from Pennsylvania, he spends winters in Fort Pierce, Florida, with his wife Jewel. Hart has discovered, as have many before him, that Florida is treasure trove of birds, especially in the season of late fall through early spring. Most of the columns are about birds found on the Treasure Coast as well as elsewhere in Florida, but some go further afield in the eastern United States. The columns through mid-2015, with their striking accompanying photographs, have been compiled as a gift for him. His common sense approach, sense of humor, clear writing skill and unconcealed zest for birdwatching make these columns a gift for anyone who enjoys and wants to learn more about the activity.
