Jonathan Andrew Buxton is a rather odd individual, when stressed, he speaks in a random manner which some people find annoying. This often leads him into trouble in his childhood. He discovers he almost has two separate consciousness, one ordered and relatively normal, the other often uncontrollable and wild. As an adult he learns that he has an almost savant ability for mathematics and later computer programming. This leads to him being very successful. It also leads to him finding a strange box in his loft, the contents of which are not of this time. He is guided through some of the contents of the box by a talking black tablet, a product of future artificial intelligence. Over time he learns the truth of our existence and stories and myths in our history are explained in detail. As all these revelations unfold, he begins to secretly (he believes) write about the box, the talking tablet and what he has learned. There are though, much more powerful secrets yet to be revealed. Is his narrative to be believed, or is he suffering from a severe mental illness?
