34 year old, Almeyda Cossette, a very dedicated and swell cop of ten years finds herself confounded after she is given the file of the very old cold case of Poppy Sakura; a child who went missing over 20 years ago at the age of fourteen. Having dedicated herself to fighting crime and defending the law for so long in the hope that justice might be served, Almeyda realizes she completely lost sight of living her own life, settling down, and thinking about her future. After being paired with the new transfer to the station, her partner William Asesino falsely misleads her into believing that he has romantic sentiments for her. As a result of the frustration when she meets his wife, she prefers to keep things strictly professional, finding herself more susceptible to the criminal that comes along into her life, in a very charming way. What started all by a speeding ticket, the cop who dared to race this sly and handsome crook, a stolen vehichle, a criminal who taunted her on for the race, and a little bending of the law, could turn into being in the arms of a serial killer. Almedya completely freaks when she realizes that Gary Wilsmider lied about his identity. Almeyda soon discovers that Gary has a dark secret. Almeyda is heartbroken and she threatens Gary at gunpoint, confronting him about the murder of Poppy Sakura. Now in danger, her partner manages to alert her, long distance, that they found a dead body in Alabama linked to Gary Wilsmider aka, Gary Marepi. Later William finds out that Gary was responsible for the deaths of all his ex-girlfriends, but by now, Almeyda has been taken. Is Gary Marepi really capable to kill the woman that he loves? He's done it before, what will become of Almeyda?
