Magic Words

MAGIC WORDS are words we pass on, sometimes for centuries, because they give us hope, because they connect us in joy, in grief, in longing, in love with other human beings. For a moment we are not alone. The words we hear in our heads are not our own but they echo our fears and desires and we feel what the writer felt, we learn what they learned. Magic words remind us that despite advances in technology, the human heart remains the same, and it is good. Magic words can change confusion to certainty, fear...to peace, hate to love. Magic words are one being reaching out to another across time, across space, reaching out to lift the other up, to save them.
