Random Thoughts from a Broken Mind is a collection of articles and rants from Lockport resident, and self styled humorist Mark McElligott. This book of musings covers topics as bizarre and diverse as UFO's abducting cattle, Britney Spears, growing older, dating, dreams, adopting a highway and filling out a job application. Sometimes touching, frequently irreverent, self depreciating, and always skewed, Mark's unique observations about the world around him make for an entertaining read. Mark draws his ideas from fifty years of life in Western New York, and a decent amount of travel throughout the United States and Europe. He has been a musician, a pastor, a pugilist, security guard, and garbage man. He is divorced with three children, and comes from a large clan of Irish story tellers. He has opinions about everything, and is not afraid to share them with a good helping of hilarity.
