The Mediterranean basin is intriguing. It used to be a backyard to Romans and their leftovers are everywhere. Balkan a jungle, Turkey most interesting, Malta tiny but valiant island, Tunis still raw and Morocco of phony movie fame. Four months trip as a backpacker was spine-tingling. 212 pages are about the life of natives the way I saw them. Illustrated by more than 100 b/w pictures. .
