Twelve-year-old- Molly Beckett is trying to adjust to life in a new town--new school. As if moving in the middle of the school year was hard enough; On top of that, there's a talking circus bat living in a tree outside her bedroom window--who is actually an twelve-year-old boy named Hamilton. Gypsies have kidnapped his sister, Lunette, and Hamilton needs to get her back before they're both trapped in their animal bodies forever. Together Hamilton and Molly--with the help of some friends--set off to follow a series of clues to find Lunette before it's too late.
