The iptables-tutorial originally started as a small tutorial on the boingworld news-site and drew incredible interest. From that point on it has developed continually, and still is under development. To this date it has had some 2 million unique visitors on its website, where it is also available for free. This book is a way for people to contribute to the maintainer of this document and to give everyone a possibility to have it in a print version.
