Staying Above Water. Global migration in the face of the climate crisis

After decades of inaction, the climate crisis is here and it’s causing extreme increases in weather events, sea level rise, floods, droughts, wildfires, and the increasing desertification of farmlands. As the effects of catastrophic climate change continue to emerge, it’s clear that many places will become uninhabitable and others will simply not be able to support their current population levels. This means that tens of millions of people will likely migrate to seek shelter and sustenance in other parts of the world. "Staying Above Water: Global Migration in the Climate Crisis,” looks at how climate change is driving migration around the world.
