Conversations that Matter

This book, Conversations That Matter has its origins in a handout I created in 1987 called “Getting Results from Meetings.” It was a short, 3-page piece. Over the years I created additional, stand-alone handouts. At one point there were 8 separate handouts about meetings and facilitation. Travel forward to 2007 and I got inspired to create a book about meetings and facilitation to support a presentation I was going to do for the Whole Systems in Action track at the Building Energy Conference of the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association. I “rolled-up” the 8 or so handouts and added more content to create this book. The 2011 version is a slightly edited and updated version of this material.
