Pinwheels Readers deliver colorfully illustrated stories and poems for young readers and writers or those who are struggling with literacy. Stories are controlled for the phonics and spelling patterns introduced in the Pinwheels Year 2 comprehensive curriculum. Level 4 stories apply new concepts such as vowel teams, consonant teams, affixes, and multi-syllable words while also including review for previously learned concepts such as short vowel sounds, literary elements, high frequency words, and common spelling patterns. Each story features meaningful text, a list of concepts that are covered within the story, a discussion prompt, and most include a fun activity! Level 4 also includes an interactive Reading Challenge, providing additional practice with titles, illustration, and writing prompts.
