Dirty Water

Sergio Davanzo faces in a new, almost a-chromatic, style the theme “Dirty Water”, producing a series of 16 paintings, strictly linked one another. They carry out a deep, complex reflection sprouting from the acknowledgement of the disastrous environmental situation of our planet. Strong, eloquent works such as “Travel Notes. Lahina Mahui: the Whale’s Song”, “Mother Earth Cries 1”,“Mother Earth Cries 2” and “Metropolis” portray the alarming starting point. When the focus shifts from the context to the subject, the analysis acquires a geometrical character.
