This book is written as a narrative, as if I were speaking to you in a quiet coffee-shop corner, sharing my stories from my medical school experiences as I went thru them: how I felt, what I learned, how I changed, and what I made of the reality with which I was presented.
The purpose of this book is to give you, the reader, a glimpse into the life of one medical student training to become a doctor. This narrative offers snapshots into my life as a student doctor and is by no means an objective or comprehensive piece.
Whether you are an aspiring pre-med student, a physician in training, a practicing clinician, or an individual curious about the journey to becoming a doctor, this book is for you. I hope it can provide you with honest foresight and inspiration, stories you can relate to and commiserate with, reminders of novice enthusiasm being seasoned by reality, and/or insight into this marvelous field that is the study of the human being.
