About Bill Bean Bill went to boarding school at St. Andrew’s in Middletown Delaware, followed by attending the University of Pennsylvania and Brown University, where he received the Shubert Grant awarded to the University’s two most promising creative writers. Bill graduated summa cum laude, ninth in his class, at Boston College Carroll School of Business in 1977. Bill then worked at Harvard University in the Office of the Treasurer, and from there worked at IBM for ten years, in eleven levels with twelve jobs, including chief financial executive of IBM Education and Training, a two billion dollar business.
