Verna Louise Caldwell, is a wife, mother, author, business owner, inventor, mentor, retired HR Manager, Realtor and former back-up singer. She has written ten books and co-written three children's books with her sister, Doris. During Verna’s senior year in college, she was offered an opportunity to sing back-up with the Ike and Tina Turner Revue, but she chose to finish her Music Education degree at Jackson State University instead. Verna later toured for approximately five years with Helen Reddy, who was a superstar. She says the experience met every requirement she had set for pursuing a career in music. Verna credits her parents for her stable life of faith and relationship with God. She doubts if she would have been able to maintain her values and level head during the temptations faced while pursuing her entertainment career, had it not been for the values instilled in her while sitting on her daddy's knee. This book is written to honor his contributions.
