Debbie Aliya is the owner of Aliya Analytical, Inc., an engineering consulting company which was founded in 1994 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA. Aliya specializes in failure analysis of physical things and training of engineering, quality, and manufacturing company staff. She has been working to develop a thinking skill curriculum for working adults for over 25 years. Her failure analysis book, focusing on integration of critical thinking for people who like to think they already know, was published in March of 2024. She has wide-ranging interests, including gardening, mushroom hunting, star gazing, reading ancient history and science fiction, and studying the history of the evolution of religion and spirituality. She has presented on Critical and Creative Thinking at various professional society conferences. She has also written a science fiction novel which promotes the benefits of cultivating clear thinking.
