Sherri Lackey was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico, spent her early childhood in Alpine, Texas, and met her future husband the first time while she was living in Farmington, New Mexico during her preteen years. She moved back to Carlsbad where she graduated from high school and then went to Las Cruces, New Mexico to attend New Mexico State University where she met her future husband for the second time. Rekindling their childhood friendship, they married six months later. They have three children and now live in Montana. Sherri writes science fiction and fantasy.
