Krista Michelle Breen lives in Rockwood, Ontario, with her two children, Walker and Aniela and her husband Doug. Krista's grade school teachers repeatedly asked her to stop talking about horses, stop writing about horses and to please draw something other than horses. In 2008 she won the Black Stallion Writing Contest, encouraged in her writing by Walter Farley's son Tim. When not thinking about T.J. and Adrienne, Krista can usually be found riding, teaching children to ride, or trying to fit her horse trailer through the drive-thru at Tim Hortons. She is an Equine Canada certified instructor, holds a CTRI designation from the Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association and is very proud to be a Canadian Pony Club Alumni.
