Sal Maiorana

Sal Maiorana was born in Buffalo, N.Y. in 1962, grew up in the suburbs of Syracuse, N.Y., and graduated from Buffalo State College in 1984 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism. For the past 26 years he has been a sports writer for the Democrat and Chronicle in Rochester, N.Y., and since 1990 has covered the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League. He is a two-time winner of the Rochester Press-Radio Club Sports Writer of the Year award, was inducted into the Frontier Field Walk of Fame in 2009, has been recognized by the American Legion as Rochester's Sports Writer of the Year, and he has also won numerous New York State Publishers' Association citations for his work with the Democrat and Chronicle. The author of 19 books, he lives in Walworth, N.Y. with his wife, Christine, their two daughters, Taylor and Caroline, son, Holden, and dog, Buddy.
