Victor Cleary, originally from Clarksburg, Ohio, is a graduate of Adena High School and earned two degrees from the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. Cleary spent eight years in Phoenix, Arizona, where he served as the Executive Director of Air Show Partners, producing the market's largest annual military air show, and working part-time for country music entertainer, Garth Brooks. Researching and archiving Clarksburg's history has always been a Cleary family tradition. In September 2006, Cleary published Clarksburg’s Courageous World War II, in honor of the 222 village veterans who served in the armed forces from 1939 to 1945. Cleary's follow up book, From Somewhere in France, was published in November of 2010 and included nearly 200 personal letters sent home from these veterans. Currently, he is a Marketing Director residing in Dublin, Ohio.
