Shane Campbell seems like a reasonably decent fellow. With his easygoing style and offbeat sense of humor this interesting and slightly eccentric individual is actually very likable. At least that's the kind of first impression you'd get if you were unlucky enough to meet him. What lurks in Shane's dark twisted mind is something - or someone - altogether different. Whoever or whatever it is thrives on fear and hatred, using Shane as a conduit to fulfill its ravenous blood lust as it wages war against anyone unlucky enough to cross its path. As the body-count begins to rise it triggers a chaotic and darkly amusing backlash from the friends and families of Shane's victims, compelling one to wonder if there's a deeper meaning to this deranged but highly philosophical man's disturbing actions. Is some profound evil force dictating the course of Shane's murderous crusade, or is it just the thrill of the hunt that motivates and inspires him?
