This short, lyrical work for cello and piano was composed in 2004 and premiered at the Santa Barbara Chamber Music Festival. Based on an aria from John Carbon's opera, Out of this World, the mood is both reflective and nostalgic, with a turbulent middle section. Showcases the singing tenor range of the cello.
