In the year 480 B.C. the greatest army and navy the world had ever seen was unleashed. The Great King Xerxes of Persia led an army of 250,000 warriors to invade the free cities of Greece. In desperation, three hundred of Sparta’s finest, bravest soldiers were sent to the narrow mountain pass of Thermopylae to delay the massive Persian incursion while the Greeks rallied their forces.
