In writing this book, my hope is to open the eyes of believers to a deeply spiritual truth: we are stewards of our bodies, and we are under attack—not only spiritually, but physically. The enemy often works subtly, using societal norms and misinformation to dull our minds, sap our strength, and hinder our ability to serve. One of the most significant—and overlooked—areas of deception today is food. What once nourished, sustained, and energized the people of God has been replaced with heavily processed, chemically altered, profit-driven substitutes. The food we eat today is far from what was eaten in the time of Christ. Convenience, conformity, and corporate interests now drive how and what we eat, and tragically, much of the health education we receive is either misleading or intentionally false. The result? Increasing rates of disease, fatigue, depression, and spiritual dullness—even within the church. Scripture calls us to a higher standard: “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.” —1 Corinthians 6:19–20 God has entrusted us with these bodies for His glory. What we eat and how we care for ourselves is not merely a health issue—it’s a spiritual one. My prayer is that this book will stir conviction and encourage a return to prayerful, informed stewardship of the body in a world of deception. May the church rise to discern, to act, and to honor God in all things—including what we eat.
