A Place Calling Itself Jerusalem

In a remote and troublesome province, the imperial governor awakens from uneasy dreams. Trying to keep order in a fractious and fanatical city, he finds his attention constantly diverted to the case of a mysterious preacher. What crime, if any, has the man committed? Why does the more powerful of the city's religious factions want him put to death? And has all this somehow happened before?
