Malcolm Taylor

Malcolm Taylor graduated from the University of Cambridge in 1980 with a degree in Mathematics, and earned a Diploma in Computer Science the following year. In 1985 he received a Ph.D. from the University of Aberdeen for a thesis entitled Data Integration and Query Decomposition in Distributed Databases. He subsequently held academic positions at the University of Keele and the University of Houston, and was a member of the technical staff at the MCC research lab in Austin, Texas. He has been developing object-oriented software for 18 years, in which time he has worked for leading organisations in both the U.S. and U.K. in application domains including telecommunications, oil and gas, healthcare and government. He lives in Staffordshire, U.K., with his wife, Diana. Malcolm has published around thirty articles in journals, in conference proceedings and as book chapters.
