Born in New York and raised in California , Mark Wein has been performing and teaching music in Southern California for over 20 years. After graduating from Fullerton College with a degree in Commercial Music Performance, Mark worked steadily performing and recording with groups such as the swing group “The Scot Willy Combo”, blues bands “The New Originals” and “The Metropolitans” and rock groups such as “Felt”, “Ultralight”, Jennifer Corday and the cover band “All Star Trio”. Throughout this time Mark also worked as both a private guitar Instructor and a music teacher at a local private school. In 2004 Mark and his wife Christine opened Premier Music, a full service music school in the city of Orange, California. Mark is the author of the books “Foundations for Guitar” and “Expanded Blues Guitar” as well as countless online video guitar lessons and blogs via his YouTube channel and website MarkWeinGuitarLessons.com
