I finished school and started my working career in the Ft. Lauderdale area. In my early twenties I moved back to New York. After living in New York for a few years I decided that I didn't like cold and returned to Florida and settled in Central Florida where I met my husband Michael. We currently live in the New Orleans area. As a child I wrote stories all the time, but then I grew up and life took hold leaving little time to write. I have always loved Vampire stories and one day in late 2005 I scribbled some thoughts on paper. Later that evening I read my notes, added to them and continued the story. That was how the Vampire Derek was conceived; although I have to admit that the inspiration for my handsome, green eyed vamps good looks came from the movie Dracula 2000.
