Sushu Xia was born in Shanghai, China in 1983. She moved to the USA at the age of 6, and has spent most of her life in California. At the time of writing, she has just fulfilled her goal of stepping foot on every continent except Antarctica. Her favorite cities are, in no particular order: Shanghai, Chicago, Tblisi, Istanbul, St. Petersburg, London, and Cusco. She travels either with her long-time travel buddy, Joanne, or more recently, with her awesome husband, Jono. Sushu started doodling in a high school math class, and have yet to stop. That said, she is currently a history teacher at Menlo School in California, and teaches Chinese at a weekend language school. She loves stories with strong visual elements -- Chinese martial arts, fantasy, historical fiction, anime and manga, and webcomics, and she spends her copious free time comicking, sewing and playing taiko and table-top games, and learning to code.
