Lisa Service is a former elementary school teacher. She taught fourth grade, practices as a physician assistant in pediatrics, and is excited about sharing Where Has Polly Gone? in her new role as an author. Lisa has always recognized the importance of education, the opportunities that it presents, and the lives that can be touched simply by opening a book. She began her professional career as a teacher at Challenger Elementary school. As an elementary school teacher, Lisa was responsible for all subject content. However, her favorite subjects to teach have always been Math and Science. She especially enjoyed using activities, projects, and life application to help her students understand Math concepts. In the midst of teaching, Lisa went back to school to obtain a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership. After four years of teaching, Lisa decided to strive to reach another educational goal.
