Native Flora for Life in Northwest Alabama is a zine series designed by native plant enthusiast, Abbie Hyche. The zine celebrates the biodiversity of northwest Alabama — one of the nation’s most species-rich regions. Native Flora Issue 1 highlights Spring and Summer flora, including flowers, grasses and vines. Use this zine to learn what & when to plant your greenery, to explore the ecological connections our plants have with other forms of life & their environments and to simply appreciate their beauty.
