This is an autobiography of a woman born in Australia in 1934, christened in the Catholic Church and married in 1954. As a naive young woman with children at 20, her loyalty to them and her mother's Catholic dictum, that above all, 'be submissive', found her mired in a financial, physical and emotionally stressful marriage which at times was more than she could bear, but her spirit was never broken. This is a true story by a woman with an exceptional memory, able to recall conversations and events as they happened, and who eventually broke free and changed her life for the better.
