The Nichomachean Ethics

ParAristotle

Habituellement imprimé en 3-5 jours ouvrés
In his Nicomachean Ethics, Aristotle develops a framework from which to explore morality, human happiness, and man’s purpose. His Ethics ultimately concludes that the purpose of life is the attainment of happiness, defined as the contemplation of universal truth, which engenders virtue. It is the purpose of politics and the city to foster communities where man may reach this end, and thus live the good life. Sofia Classics Library™, whose name derives from the Greek word for wisdom, seeks to revive a passion for the classics, cultivate a love of wisdom, and promote the good, the true, and the beautiful in literature, philosophy, and art. To this end, Sofia Classics Library™ publishes the philosophical and literary masterpieces that in their influence transcend time and inspire excellence.
