WHERE ARE ALL THE MADMEN?

This novel, based upon the accounts of actual people and written by a man who was there, is a story about the battle for Malaya and Singapore in WW2. It is told from the viewpoint of three characters - Chuck Stewart, a Manchester regiment soldier who deserted his unit to go up country and fight the enemy; Itu, a Japanese infantryman who landed on the beaches with the invasion; and Chung Lee, a Chinese Malayan who joined the Chinese People's Party to help repel the invaders. The people behind these characters were all known to the author and this compelling novel of combat and heart ache is based upon their personal accounts.
