During the course of human history, a long termed epidemic had crossed over the world. It was an autonomous evil that still exists today and is driven by blind discrimination, hatred, and fear, which cause people to execute other people simply based on their ethnicity or beliefs. These monstrous events that take place are known as acts of Genocide. Gregory H. Stanton of Yale University believed that Genocide could be classified into eight stages which he referred to as the Eight Stages of Genocide. He had formulated these stages through observation of common characteristics that, seemed to be shared by many genocides that had occurred in the past and it is through these Eight Stages of Genocide, that the mass killings, dehumanization, and segregation in Rwanda in 1994 are proven to being genocide.
