"Dracula" is narrated through a series of letters, diary entries, and newspaper articles, primarily following the experiences of Jonathan Harker, a young English solicitor. Harker travels to Transylvania to assist Count Dracula with a real estate transaction in England. Upon arriving at Dracula's castle, Harker quickly realizes that he is a prisoner and that Dracula is a vampire. After a series of terrifying encounters, Harker escapes and returns to England, where Dracula follows him, bringing chaos and terror to the seaside town of Whitby.
