With a new introduction by Christopher Priest. "Judgement at Jonbar" examines Jack Williamson's SF classic "The Legion of Time" and was described by the Encyclopedia of Science Fiction as "one of the most penetrating studies yet written about a pulp-sf novel". The second essay, "British Science Fiction Now: Studies of Three Writers", includes the first serious critical examination of J.G. Ballard.
