The Albertine canal runs alongside Formosa Park for much of its short length of just over a mile, with three locks. It has long been a popular, though expensive, mooring for houseboats. At the south end of Formosa Park, a roadbridge crosses the canal, although very few cars ever use this route since the bypass opened.

A girl in a blue dress stands on the bridge.
