Two boys emerge from the sea and become engulfed in a world of savage longing and desire. Drawing on the Greek myth of Medea, this sharply crafted play examines the role of displaced persons searching for home amidst a culture of brutality. The stylized, poetic language of US Latina playwright Caridad Svich’s theatrical landscape carves out each moment with a disconcerting precision. This new edition of the play includes an introduction by dramaturg Dan Smith and coincides with the Chicago 2011 premiere of the play at Caffeine Theatre.
