There is an air of intrigue about Crack the Codeword puzzles! When you see your first one, it may look impossible. Where do you start with a grid full of numbers (representing letters of the alphabet) and no crossword clues? Fear not, you can do them! For a start, there is a ‘key’ for each puzzle — a few starting letters. Each letter of the alphabet is represented by a (random) number, 1–26. A might be 26 and Z might be 1. Every code is different, so there is always a new challenge! Once you have these starting letters, your next task is to analyse the patterns in the numbers, and convert them into letters to spell out all the words in the grid.
