As I looked through the pictures that Chris took while he was in New Orleans I instantly wanted to be there. In this place he found images that I had not known existed. Chris was able to show me there is still hope in a city we were told by the media was lost.
I have my favorite picture of course and when I look at it my imagination just begins to wonder. That is truly the beauty of Chris's work, his ability to show a side of something that no one has ever seen before. Whether it is a group of friends just hanging out and laughing on a quiet bench or a musician just playing for the sheer love of playing or a quiet courtyard where I personally would love to sit on a quiet night with a great person to talk to and a glass of wine. You can almost feel the warmth of the breeze and the sound of the guitar. I dare you to look closer and not let your mind wonder, because if you don't you will miss the awesome power of this photographer and his inspiring pictures.
