Heavenly Bicycles

In a Greece on the brink of collapse, four teenage friends make a pact. They'll defy the rules and ride their battered BMX bikes from Patras to the ghostly shore of Finikounda, 286 kilometers away, with only their unbreakable bond to fuel them. They arrive to find Takis, the campsite owner, watching them with eyes that seem to know too much. And when they finally pedal home, their lives start to spiral into ruin, mirroring the decay all around them. Ten years later, Christos - the quiet, steady one - dies in a freak accident, the kind that leaves questions. Now, at thirty-five, the three remaining friends feel the pull. They are summoned to retrace that fateful journey, one that promises answers. Meanwhile, two girls on their bikes ride along the boys' path, savoring their love as they travel and photograph the haunting beauty of abandonment. They swear eternal love to each other, blissfully unaware that one of them is about to become trapped in a dungeon 50 meters underground, clutching a discovery that could alter the course of humanity.
